The Story Behind Hamdeeh Cover

The Story Behind Hamdeeh Cover

I was born and raised in Kwara State, Nigeria, in a town where almost everybody around me was Muslim. Growing up, Islam felt like a normal part of everyday life to me. I wore hijab from a young age and never liked exposing myself, but if I am being honest, I did not fully understand the beauty and depth of modesty at that time.

As a child, I was very shy, quiet, and soft-spoken. I also struggled a lot with low self-esteem. People around me often picked on me because of how different I was. Even at a young age, people always seemed ready to point out anything they felt was unusual about me. Those experiences affected me deeply, and for a long time, I struggled with confidence and fully accepting myself.

Everything Started Changing When I Moved Abroad

For the first time, I met converts to Islam and Muslim sisters who were genuinely striving every single day to become better for the sake of Allah. Watching their love for Islam made me reflect on my own relationship with my deen. SubhanAllah, it opened my heart in a completely different way.

I realized I had been taking many things for granted simply because I grew up around them.

Over time, I became more intentional about my faith, my modesty, and my identity as a Muslim woman. I started learning to accept myself fully, my personality, my voice, my journey, and everything Allah created me to be.

That Journey Is What Gave Birth to Hamdeeh Covers

HamdeehCover is not just a modest fashion brand to me. It is personal. It represents growth, self-acceptance, faith, and purpose. I created this brand with the intention of helping Muslim women feel beautiful, confident, and comfortable while still dressing modestly.

As a Black African Muslimah from Nigeria, I wanted to build something that reflects elegance without compromising our values. From hijabs and jilbabs to accessories and modest essentials, every piece is selected with care and love for sisters who want to embrace modesty confidently.

More Than Fashion

For me, modest dressing is more than fashion. It is an act of worship, obedience, and identity.

My prayer is that HamdeehCover continues to remind Muslim women that modesty is beautiful, confidence can grow, and being true to yourself is one of the greatest gifts Allah can give you.
